Wallpaper Tutorial #1

So, I have decided to write a tutorial, hoping to give some of you a taste of how I make wallpapers with my style. It's not great, I know. But, you chose to read it, please finish it and then comment. Also, please note that I'm writing this tutorial in detail but I hope you will try and use some of your own creativity to create your wallie. What's the point in making a wallpaper exactly the same as mine? Huh?

End Result
Of course, it's featuring DBSK~

Here's the main picture I'll be using:

(Yes. I know it's hot. Please stop drooling.)
I do not remember where I obtained this picture from so please notify me if you know.

Step One:
Open a new canvas (Ctrl-J). With the following settings:

Step Two:
Fill the background with black. (Edit >> Fill)

Step Three:
Drag your main image onto the black canvas and position it wherever you like. Resize if needed.
I have placed my sexy picture of DBSK like so.

Step Four:
If your picture was enlarged (try not to enlarge it for an image looses a lot of quality when it is enlarged) or had bad quality to begin with,

1) Duplicate your image.
2) Filter >> Blur >> Gaussian Blur
1.0 pixels
3) Set the opacity of that layer to 20% and change the Blending Mode to "Screen"
4) Duplicate the blurred layer and change the Blending mode to "Soft Light"

Step Five:
Make a new layer and fill it with black. Set this layer's Blending Mode to "Color" at 40%.

Yeah. The top edge of the main image of DBSK looks really rough. Let's just ignore that for now. I'm going to be using three textures for the wallpaper. Their sources can be found on the credits page:
'Texture one' is from Flying High
'Texture two' (filter) is from Escape.fairycorner.net
'Texture three' is from Celestial-star.net

(I altered 'texture three' to fit this wallpaper) Here they are:

You can go and locate each texture or find different ones to match your own taste and wallpaper's desired "feel".

Step Six:
Take 'texture one' (or your counterpart to 'texture one') and place it beneath your main picture. Set the opacity of that texture layer to 20%

Step Se7en:
Take 'texture two (filter)' (or your counterpart to 'texture two') and place it above your main picture. Set the layer to 'Screen' at 50%.

Step Eight:
Take 'texture three' (or your counterpart to 'texture three') and place it above your 'texture two' layer. Set that layer to 'Color Burn' at 80%.
[Please note: Only some textures can achieve a visible and good effect when set to 'Color Burn'. If this 'Blending Mode' does not work with your texture, try another effect.]

Step Eight:
Now, blend your main image into the background (texture and black). Here's how mine looks like:

Step Nine:
Add some your own effects (ex: text) and show off your creativity!
