Yes. I realize it doesn't look gorgeous or hard.

Reconsider? Nah. It's still not that hard. Anyways. Let's get started.

1. Start off with your canvas. Here's mine.

(Swoons. Drools. Faints)

2. Duplicate your picture.
Go to Filter >> Noise >> Dust & Scratches
Radius: 3
Threshold: 0
Go to Filter >> Blur >> Gausssian Blur
Radius: 0.8 pixels
Go to Filter >> Noise >> Add Noise
Distribution: Uniform
Percent: 0.8%
With Monochromatic

3. Set this layer to "Softlight" at 30% opacity

4. See that black spot? We're going to get rid of it! Make a new layer. Zoom in. Take the eyedropper tool and select an appropriate color. Using a soft brush, color over the black area!

5. Now that we're actually ready to do something with this icon, find or make a flare texture to place over your icon. Rotate it, recolour it, etc. Here's what I got:

6. I see another discolored patch! I'm going to cover it again to obtain this.

7. Now just add any text, recolor (Ctrl-B) or do anything you want. Here's my final (don't you dare steal, as unpro as it is)
