Yay for the lovely webcam that came with my Macbook. The one thing I don't like about it is that it's fixed so I can't move it higher or lower. Anyways, here are some tips.

To shut off the flash, simply hold the "Shift" key on your keyboard while you click on the "take photo" button.

To skip the countdown and take a photo immediately, hold the "Option" key on your keyboard while you click on the "take photo" button.

To skip the countdown AND shut off the flash, hold both "Shift" and "Option" when you are clicking the red button.
